REENTRY
Committed to Making a Difference in the Returning Citizens population
Knowing the many barriers that returning citizens face, in conjunction with other organizations and service providers, we recognize the need for not only the comprehensive services that are available, but a navigation system designed by experience, and those that are passionate about seeing criminal justice reform as a public safety issue to us all.
Since the origin of our organization, our founder's goal has been to create a Mentor position, similar to a Peer Recovery Specialist position, to help those experiencing reentry drawbacks. With lived experience, many of our Mentors have overcame different obstacles involving the criminal justice system. Attempting to create a diversion program intake for our leadership academy workshops, it is also in our short term sight to create an official position for returning citizens to become a reentry navigator. Below, see a list of tools and resources that may assist a returning citizen in their transition.
